Dear colleagues,

As we approach our centennial, I am reminded of Edgar Odell Lovett’s words about the new Rice Institute: “…the staff and students (are) its brain and heart, determining and regulating the flow of thought and the flow of life in its being…without their presence these quadrangles would be empty, these halls silent.. But with their help, which they have given heartily, and with their hopes, which well up constantly, the dry bones of an academic programme are coming to life, and these dry bones live.”

Lovett’s faith in the capability of the faculty and the staff of this great university is entrusted in us, and to us in Human Resources is entrusted an obligation to serve you in a way that realizes Lovett’s faith in you. The new website is designed to make it easier for you to find the information and resources  you need to do your best. Our hope is that it enables you to continue to bring Lovett’s aspirations for this fine university to life.

With best wishes from all of us in Human Resources,
