Plan & Engage
This phase is one of the most important in the process of developing your world class staff, and it deserves time and attention. During this phase, you should focus on the following:
- Developing and/or reviewing the performance expectations you have of your staff
- Setting performance and job goals for the upcoming year (both short-term and long-term goals)
- Aligning performance and career goals to the Rice values
- Identifying training needs and developmental opportunities, and possibly creating an Individual Development Plan (IDT).
