Rice cares about the health of its employees. The university provides various options for medical, dental and vision coverage, provides drug prescription coverage with all medical plan options, and gives employees the opportunity for tax savings through flexible spending accounts. Medical, dental and vision coverage are provided through Aetna, prescription coverage is administered through Express Scripts and WageWorks administers the Flexible Spending Accounts. For FY 2019, the Benefits Booklet is the ultimate benefits resource for Rice employees. It lists all benefit plan details, rates and employees rights. For FY 2020, we will be changing things up a bit. We have added an enrollment guide which is a high level explanation of what’s new, what you need to know to enroll, and special reminders. After July 1, we will supplement this information with our summary plan description (your rights, responsibilities, required notices, etc.), plan booklets, and certificates of coverage, all in one place, so they are easy to find and use.
