As a supervisor it is important to provide frequent, timely feedback and document performance.  Performance appraisals should formally document the performance management conversations that took place throughout the year.  Constructive Appraisals Require Engagement (CARE) from both the employee and the supervisor to build positive, productive working relationships.  The links below provide some general performance management tips, but for more specific information contact Employee Relations.
