Leaving Rice?
We realize that opportunities or events may come up that cause you to leave the Rice Community to pursue other career or personal goals. Thank you for your dedication, time, and commitment during your employment at Rice and please do not overlook Rice for future job opportunities. We hope that the following details will help you during your transition:

Benefits eligible staff should make an appointment for an exit interview with Rebecca Millet. She can be reached at 713-348-4791 or at rmm6@rice.edu. Please complete the following forms and bring them with you to your exit interview:

All benefits, including health insurance and dental insurance, will continue through the end of the month in which your job is terminated. The following documents can help answer some of your questions regarding your benefits.

If you are leaving Rice and do not qualify as a retiree, click here.

Staff members do not typically have their final check direct deposited. On the Check Out Form, you will be able to choose to either pick up your final check in the cashier's office or have it mailed to the address of your choice.

If moving, please provide your new address on the Voluntary Resignation Form. Early next year, your W-2 tax documents will be sent to the address that the university has on file. You can view this address on Esther with your user ID and password. You will continue to have access to Esther after you leave Rice to review pay stubs, change your address or print out your W-2. If you are unable to log-in to Esther, please contact people@rice.edu .
