Time and Attendance covers paid and unpaid time off including benefit time, holidays, winter recess, medical leaves, etc.

Time and Attendance also covers the process for tracking exempt and nonexempt benefit time, nonexempt employee workweeks and the manager/supervisor, administrator/department coordinator, and employee responsibilities in regards to the management of time and attendance at Rice.

Exempt Staff

In this section you will learn how exempt staff accrue and track their benefit time and the responsibilities of managers/supervisors, administrators/department coordinators, and employees as related to the management of time and attendance.

Nonexempt Staff

In this section you will learn how nonexempt staff track their time worked as well as benefit time.  You will also learn the different responsibilities of managers/supervisors, administrators/department coordinators and employees as related to the management of time and attendance.

Time Off

This section will give a brief overview of the different forms of time off from work at Rice; both paid and unpaid.  This includes benefit time, holidays, winter recess, FMLA, Short Term Disability, etc.

Recordkeeping and Forms

Every Rice employee is responsible for maintaining their own time and attendance records.  This section includes the forms, examples, and directions on filling out all time and attendance records.
