Things to do Around Rice
Rice’s campus is located in the heart of Houston’s Museum District near Rice Village and across the street from the Texas Medical Center and Houston’s Hermann Park.
Hermann Park, which is approximately 1 mile from Rice, encompasses The Houston Zoo, The Miller Outdoor Theater, an 18-hole municipal golf course, pedal boats, a train, and a Japanese Garden! To learn more about Hermann Park and view upcoming events, visit the Hermann Park Conservancy.
Houston’s Museum District is an association of 19 cultural institutions dedicated to promoting arts, history, science, and nature. The district includes the nation’s sixth largest art museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
