Tuition Benefits

As an institution of higher education, learning and ongoing education is important to us.  There are several policies that apply to benefits eligible faculty and staff: 

Tuition Remission

For eligible dependents to attend Rice University, see University Policy # 430 -- Tuition Remission for Dependents.

• To apply for these benefits, please use the Application for Dependent Tuition Remission. 

Tuition Waiver/Audit

To take a class at Rice, see University Policy # 409 (Tuition Waiver) or University Policy # 431 (Auditing Courses).

The Registrar's Office has a great web page with instructions on how to register for Rice courses using Tuition Waiver or Audit benefits. 

Tuition Reimbursement

To take a class at another institution (or some qualifying classes at Rice), see the University Policy # 432 -- Tuition Reimbursement.  Please note that the fiscal year maximum is $1,000 (not $600, as the policy states).
